Ian Hesner is part of the Superconducting Circuits team of the ETH Zurich - PSI Quantum Computing Hub. He started as a PhD student in March 2024 with a focus in Quantum Error Correction. Previously, he worked on implementing and benchmarking Floquet codes with superconducting circuits at IBM Research in Rüschlikon for his master’s thesis (ETH MSc Quantum Engineering), as well as completing an internship at Zurich Instruments focused on exploring distributed decoding techniques.
